Most LED pool lights are rated for 30,000 to 50,000 hours of use. In practical terms, if you run your lights for 4 hours every single night, they could last between 20 and 34 years. For comparison, traditional incandescent bulbs usually only last about 5,000 hours.

Unlike traditional bulbs that use a heated filament, LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) move electrons through a semiconductor material to create light. This process, called electroluminescence, is incredibly efficient and produces very little waste heat.

Absolutely. While LEDs use significantly less wattage, their lumen output (the actual brightness) is comparable to or better than halogens. Flickering is usually a sign of an unstable power supply. This can be caused by:

If the light isn’t turning on, check these three things:

To reset the light to its starting color (usually white), most manufacturers use a specific power sequence. Typically, you turn the light off for 10–15 seconds, then turn it back on. Some brands require a rapid sequence of “Off-On” toggles (e.g., 4 times in a row) to factory reset the color memory.
